Finding a Tutor in Dhaka - If You Can Afford It

Finding a Tutor in Dhaka - If You Can Afford ItFinding a tutor in Dhaka is a very good idea and if you have the funds then it can be the best investment you can make in your career. When I first moved to Bangladesh from the UK in 2020 I wanted to go to college for my degree but my visa was long expired so I ended up working as a housemaid. One day I came back to the dormitory room, I was having a hard time finding a university or college so I asked the people in the dormitories if they had any help with their higher education. The only English language classes they had was an English course that only taught me how to write and speak. But the one class I did not miss was the piano class, which I had always wanted to take at school.I remember it very well because when I had returned to the dormitory room I used to attend the music class of a man who lived in a flat in Dhaka called Mr. D. The piano class was full of young children whose parents wanted them to be able to make their living from singing.A few months later I received an invitation to come and sing at an evening show of Mr. D in Jakarta. He is one of the most famous pianists from Jakarta and his company has many international clients and is usually booked out at least once a month. The night of the show was amazing and the live piano performance on stage, while playing Bach's violin concerto, did not go unnoticed. When the first concert was over the Indonesian authorities shut the show down and made arrests because the song was too politically incorrect. Mr. D continued to perform for their audience's every single year and the audiences loved him. However, one year later Mr. D left Jakarta and the show was cancelled. This meant that I had to find another way to see this man live. Luckily I found a tutor in Dhaka who was willing to teach me the guitar to play at a very reasonable price.I was in Jakarta, so I didn't go home for two weeks until I could find someone in Dhaka willing to teach me the guitar. Th e place I found was incredible and the teacher was a highly trained and skilled musician. After a few weeks of practice I was able to play the song Mr. D had performed.
